Whitewater kayaking involves periods of calm interspersed with periods of terror. On an unknown river, anxiety comes from anticipating what may be around the bend. Such is our life right now as we paddle through the pandemic.
Curiously, the pandemic terror may involve shopping for groceries and having someone near you cough. So normal, yet now terrifying. The invisible killer may lurk anywhere for hours or even days. This leaves us to constantly wonder what may be around the bend. Moreover, we have no idea how long this river is. The best advice is to listen to those who really know, and keep paddling.
